Of Apples and of Worms
From the fall in darkness, to the rise in light I dreamed a dream throughout the night then the morning came and gave new sight where all was gone that been have might. From the fall in light, to the rise in dark I dreamed a dream alight from spark then to this beauty’s sight I harke’d to make the play and place the mark. But I feared the worm in apple’s bite and in the light, I lost the fight at darkness’s end I missed the mark and woke from dream without the spark. (I fall in darkness, rise from light anew, through this dream that could be so real at side of you, the beauty of an angel where we heavenly kiss, abliss, and as a god you make me feel) Through the darkness, through the light a dream keeps flashing through the night through the morning, through my sight through all that was, that been have might. The dream flashed from a spark flashed through my heart and found the mark hunger gnawed the apple’s bite but looked for worm lest eat it might. In time I thought the dream now real copped a look and copped a feel marked the mark a pyre dark and set aflame the spark. (and as I fall in darkness, out of light I rise anew, for time and time to spend at side of yours, for as such a sight of beauty as you, as we, the gods shall not repent…) But dreams unreal and never last and in the apple I found the worm, at last… 2022.09.30 © Daniel L.
